Shared links

If you press Control + Command + 3, it will open up the sidebar with shared links. Here you can see all of the links shared by those you follow on social media. This could prove to be very handy and save you a lot of time that would have been otherwise spent searching.

Reading list

To quickly access the list of your chosen articles in a sidebar, press Shift + Command + L. While reading, keep scrolling past the end of the article, and Safari will automatically mark it as read and go to the next one in your queue. Also, by pressing Control + Command + 2, you will be able to see the pages in your reading list.

Copying and editing images

Getting images from Safari is easy. Instead of dragging the picture to your desktop, press Control + Click and select Copy Image from the context menu to send the picture to your clipboard. Then open you favorite image editing application and press Control + V to edit the file.

Private browsing

Private browsing is a thing of great importance to quite a lot of people these days. Safari does support this and actually makes it very easy for you to go into incognito mode. Simply hold down the Alt button when selecting private browsing to bypass the window alert.

By navigating you Safari settings to Security and then choosing Manage Website Settings, you will be able to choose which sites are allowed access to the Flash plugin. This could greatly speed up your general surfing. For example, you could allow the Flash plugin content only on YouTube, thus blocking a lot of unwanted ads and video playbacks that would have otherwise consumed your traffic.
