How to Manage Your Opera Extensions

If you are looking to install extensions in your Opera browser, you may have found that you don’t know how to manage your extensions in Opera. If you have installed a few extensions, you may be able to easily keep up with them, or if you don’t need to change their settings. However, if you are like many users and have more than a couple extensions added to your Opera browser, you may find that keeping track of all of them can be a real hassle.

When it comes to managing your Opera extensions with ease, or making changes to disable or enable a certain extension, or even uninstalling an add-on that you no longer need, this article will help you to do so step by step.

Step #1

Open your Opera browser, then type in addons.opera.com/en/extensions/ in your navigation bar. This is the link that forwards you to Opera’s extension catalog. Here you are going to be able to search and download various types of add-ons. Simply find what you want or need and install it.

Now that you have your Opera extensions installed, you can begin managing them. Select Extensions in Opera’s menu and go to Manage Extensions. This is going to open a new menu that allows you to see the extensions you have installed and edit them.

Step #3

If you have an extension that you would like to disable, enable or uninstall, you can do this by finding the add-on links in the Manage Extensions menu. After you have located the extension, you simply click on it and choose the action you want.

You are able to edit the extensions settings as well. To do this, you will navigate to the Manage Extension menu and click on Settings, which is a button on the right side. You will be presented with a list of preferences that you are able to change. This can vary based on the add-on extension, and each one is different.
